Who We Are
God is the author of the story of Sophia Learning Center, and He writes the best stories! Our school has been in operation for 7 years, but our story begins way before that with our beautiful mommy and Founder Constance E. Brown, pictured to the right. Learn how Sophia Learning Center came to be and our goal to point children and families to Jesus.

Our Story
Sophia Learning Center is a vision given from God to our beautiful mother, Constance E. Brown, affectionately known as Mom Mrs. Brown. Our mother is an artist, author, teacher, storyteller and most important daughter of the most high KING!
In the late 1990s, while teaching in the charter schools in Cleveland, Ohio, and seeking the Lord for a way to help the students to learn and read, God gave her the idea for the Sophia Learning Center; instructing her to use wisdom principles from Proverbs to train up children. From there, the idea was born, but it would be years before the school would come to fruition.
Fast forward to 2018, Carmen Brown and Constance-Gabrielle Brown (Oldest and youngest daughters) also became teachers in the schools and each night all three daughters would be on the phone with our mother discussing what we were experiencing in the schools. One night, during one of these regular phone calls, God renewed the vision in Constance Brown and she said, "Mom, I think it's time to start Sophia Learning Center." From there everything began to line up. We began with a summer camp and one student ❤️ in 2018. In 2019, Mom Mrs. Brown and our youngest sister, Constance-Gabrielle Brown, stepped out on faith and left their teaching positions in the schools and started the Sophia Learning Center. God has been building this school each step of the way, and sending the students ever since.
Sophia Learning Center is built on the guiding verse of Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."The mission of the Sophia Learning Center is to train up children through biblical wisdom principles, traditional values, and engaging learning styles to become fluent readers, who are ready to learn, achieve lifelong goals and ultimately become world changers.
Jesus came to get Mom Mrs. Brown in October of 2021, and we three daughters (Constance-Gabrielle, Soteria and Carmen) have vowed to pick up the torch that our amazing mother blazed to use everything God puts in our hands to point children and families to Jesus. Until we meet again, we say as she says - "How great is our GOD!" We'll carry the work on from here, mommy.

Romans 12 - "For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully."
